At Onsite Beauty Artistry, your preview is an experience. A calm, intentional moment in the middle of wedding planning chaos. A place to breathe, collaborate, and feel like you, just elevated.
What to Expect at Your Preview
A preview is like a dress rehearsal for your wedding beauty.

You’ll meet with your lead artist one-on-one in our Seattle or Arizona studio to design and perfect your hair and makeup look. We’ll talk about your dress, your venue, and how you want to feel walking down the aisle. Then we bring it all to life together.
It’s not just about a test run—it’s about connection, collaboration, and setting the tone for a confident, calm wedding morning.
Timing Is Everything
We recommend scheduling your preview about 2 to 3 months before your wedding day.

Why then? Because your hair length, color, and skin tone will be most similar to how they’ll be on the big day. Plus, by that point in planning, you’ll likely have finalized your accessories, your dress, and your bridal vision.
​
It’s natural for your style preferences to shift between when you book your glam team and when your big day approaches. Your Pinterest board evolves, trends shift, and you get clearer on what feels like you.
Booking your preview closer to the wedding ensures we’re working from your most inspired and current aesthetic.

What to Bring & How to Prepare
To get the most out of your preview, a little prep goes a long way.
Please arrive with clean, dry hair and a fresh, makeup-free face.
​
Bring with you:
• Hair and makeup inspiration photos (saved on your phone is perfect)
• A picture of your wedding dress
• Any veils, accessories, or earrings you plan to wear
• A selfie showing how you usually do your own makeup
​
Most importantly, take time to study your inspo photos. Ask yourself:
“What do I love about this image?”
“Is it the glow of the skin, the brow shape, the volume in the hair?”

What Happens at the Appointment
Your preview begins with a one-on-one consultation where we talk through your wedding style, photos, and what you’re envisioning.
​
From there, your lead artist will create a full bridal hair and makeup look that reflects you at your most confident. We’ll tweak as needed until everything feels perfect.
​
We’ll dissect your favorite looks together to build something custom that fits you. The more intentional you are, the more tailored your final look will be.
​
Set aside about 3 hours to allow time for adjustments, feedback, and of course, photos!
Plan a Date Night

We always suggest turning your preview day into a date night or dinner outing. This is your chance to wear the full look out in the world and see how it holds up in different lighting, photos, and environments.

It’s not just about how you look, it’s about how it wears. Bring your honey, snap some selfies, and test how your hair and makeup moves through the day.
​
Use this as a moment to celebrate how close you are to the big day, and give yourself permission to soak it in.
Can I book my preview before contracting?
Washington Brides
Because our Seattle team books up quickly and we serve dozens of weddings per month during peak season, we’re only able to offer bridal preview appointments to brides who have officially contracted with us.

This ensures our availability is reserved exclusively for those who have secured their date on our calendar.

Not quite ready to commit?
We totally understand! If you’d still love to experience our artistry before booking, you’re welcome to schedule a standalone hair and makeup session at our Seattle studio.
While this won’t be a formal bridal preview, it allows you to get a feel for our work and connect with one of our artists in person.​
Arizona Brides
In the East Valley, we’re happy to offer bridal previews even before booking. If you’re still deciding or want to see how your vision comes to life before committing, we’d love to create a custom look with you.

Your artist will walk you through your inspirations, your dress, and your vision, then bring it all together into a look that feels just right.

If you’re in love with the results (and we think you will be), we’ll send over everything you need to move forward and officially reserve your wedding date.

We talk through your aesthetic, your inspiration, your worries, and your must-haves. We pay attention to how your makeup sits after an hour, how your curls hold with your hair texture, and how you feel in the full look.
This preview also sets the tone for the morning of your wedding. It allows us to fine-tune every detail now, so that on your big day you get to relax, sip your coffee, and trust that we already know exactly what to do.
